Does the AI ever make mistakes?
Like any AI, it can occasionally misunderstand a question. That's why we have smart escalation — if the AI is unsure, it connects the customer to your team rather than guessing.
What languages does it support?
It auto-detects and responds in the language the customer writes in — including English, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Spanish, French, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, and 50+ more. No config needed.
Can the AI cancel orders?
Yes. On supported ecommerce integrations, the AI asks for the customer's email, verifies it matches the order, checks whether the order has shipped, and follows your configured cancellation rules. Shipped orders are declined with a clear message.
How is this different from other AI support tools?
Two main differences: our pricing is a flat monthly fee (no $0.90–$1.00 per AI-resolved conversation), and Aube AI is built for ecommerce data across Shopify, WordPress, and WooCommerce — products, orders, policies, and knowledge base answers.
What happens when the AI can't answer?
The conversation is flagged as 'Needs Attention' in your merchant dashboard. You can reply directly from there. If you configure a notification email, you'll get an alert immediately.
Is there a setup fee or long-term contract?
No setup fee. No contract. Start with the free plan — no credit card required. Shopify merchants can manage billing through Shopify; WordPress and WooCommerce merchants manage billing in the Aube AI dashboard.
Is my customer data safe?
Yes. Conversation data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We store only what is necessary to power the AI — no data is sold or shared with third parties. You can request full deletion of your data at any time from the dashboard.
What happens when I hit the monthly conversation limit?
Once you reach your plan's limit, the widget will show a polite message asking customers to contact you directly. You can upgrade your plan at any time from your Aube AI billing page to restore service immediately.
Can the AI handle refund requests?
Yes. The AI can initiate refund requests on behalf of customers — it collects the order details, verifies eligibility based on your store policy, and submits the request for your review. You approve or reject refunds from the merchant dashboard.
